Built for a summer family retreat, the Kelly House situates on a 3 acre parcel that has views over the Olentangy River Valley in Southern Delaware County, Ohio. The use of the farmhouse style pays homage to the portion of the home created from an antique timber frame farmhouse. The timber frame elements create the kitchen, main living space and eating area on the main level. The balance of the new structure houses bedroom suites and lounge space. The entire home was executed with very intense energy efficiency standards, through the use of SIPS panel construction and superior wall foundations.
