The goal of creating a family retreat one hour away from busy Columbus, Ohio was the goal of our Camp Road project.  The site contains 53 mostly wooded acres of land and the cabin was situated in a small clearing directly in the center of the plot.  The use of all charred wood siding and black roofing has the simple gable form cabin blending into the woods.  The interior uses natural white oak on the floor and ceiling to warm the space while the use of steel railings and light fixtures provide a touch of the industrial aesthetic.
